Built from high-quality 2618 alloy forgings, this piston set offers superior strength and resistance to high temperatures and stress, making it ideal for high-performance street, track, or racing applications. Whether you are upgrading your engine for increased power or rebuilding for longevity, these pistons deliver consistent performance and durability.

Key Features:

Manley’s Extreme Duty Dome Pistons incorporate advanced materials and design features to ensure optimal performance and reliability:

• Constructed from premium 2618 alloy forgings for exceptional strength and thermal resistance.
• Proven cam and barrel skirt profiles reduce friction and wear for improved efficiency and longevity.
• Equipped with tool steel wrist pins for enhanced durability under high load conditions.
• Moly skirt coatings on select part numbers minimize friction and improve piston skirt life.
• 9.3cc dome design optimized for combustion efficiency and compression ratio control.
• .020-inch oversize bore dimension ensures precise fitment for rebuilt or bored engines.
• Designed to withstand extreme duty cycles, making them suitable for performance and racing engines.

Construction & Design:

These pistons are meticulously crafted using 2618 alloy, a high-strength aluminum alloy known for its excellent fatigue resistance and ability to handle elevated temperatures common in high-performance engines. The forged construction provides superior structural integrity compared to cast pistons, reducing the risk of failure under extreme conditions.

The cam and barrel skirt profiles have been refined through extensive testing to optimize piston-to-cylinder wall contact, reducing friction and wear. Additionally, the moly skirt coating applied on select pistons further enhances durability by providing a low-friction surface that resists scuffing.

Tool steel wrist pins add another layer of strength, ensuring reliable connection between the piston and connecting rod even under high RPM and load scenarios. The dome shape of the piston crown is designed to improve combustion chamber dynamics, contributing to efficient power delivery.

Installation & Fitment:

This piston set is engineered specifically for Chrysler 5.7L HEMI engines requiring a 3.937-inch bore with a .020-inch oversize. It is ideal for engine rebuilds or performance upgrades where precise bore sizing is critical. Installation requires professional engine building expertise to ensure proper clearances and fitment.

No modifications to the engine block are necessary beyond the standard boring and honing process to the specified oversize. Proper assembly and balancing are recommended to maximize performance and longevity.
