What is a Camshaft Kit?

A Camshaft Kit is the cam and related valvetrain hardware without lifters. The main exception is a manual-transmission Challenger or a 6.1L SRT8, where a Camshaft Kit is typically all you need. For most automatic Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram applications (including 5.7L Hemi and 6.4L 392, and excluding 6.1L SRT8), choose a Master Camshaft Kit instead.

What is a Master Camshaft Kit?

A Master Camshaft Kit is the same as a Camshaft Kit plus lifters. That is the only difference between the two. We usually recommend a Master Camshaft Kit because it covers nearly everything for the install (tuner and custom tuning are still separate).
