The throttle body adapter is precision-machined from premium 6061-T6 billet aluminum, known for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance. By increasing the throttle body bore size from 80mm to 90mm, this aFe throttle body significantly improves airflow into the engine. This upgrade enhances throttle response, allowing the engine to react more quickly to driver input. While the primary focus is on performance gains, users may also notice a subtle improvement in engine sound due to the increased air volume moving through the intake system. Performance improvements become more pronounced when paired with other modifications such as cold air intakes and exhaust upgrades.
Installation & Fitment
The aFe 90MM Throttle Body Kit is designed for a direct bolt-on installation using all factory mounting locations, ensuring a secure and stable fit. Installation is straightforward and does not require any tuning or complex adjustments, thanks to the plug-and-play electronic throttle control compatibility. This kit is compatible with 2013 through 2023 Chrysler 300 and Dodge Challenger models equipped with the 5.7L Hemi or 6.4L 392 engines. It is important to note that this throttle body will not fit 2005–2012 models due to a different throttle position sensor (TPS) connector.
For optimal performance, it is recommended to install this throttle body in conjunction with an aFe cold air intake system.
