Overview:
The ICON 2.5 Series 4.5in Front Shocks are engineered specifically for Jeep Wrangler JK models from 2007 through 2018, delivering exceptional off-road capability combined with a smooth, controlled ride on pavement. Designed with vehicle-specific valving and length, these shocks optimize suspension performance for lifted Jeep Wranglers, enhancing both comfort and handling. Ideal for enthusiasts seeking durable, high-performance shocks that adapt to demanding terrain without sacrificing street drivability.
Each pair features ICON’s advanced remote reservoir design and adjustable compression damping, allowing drivers to fine-tune their suspension response for varied driving conditions. Whether tackling rocky trails or cruising city streets, these shocks provide consistent, reliable performance.
Key Features:
ICON’s 2.5 Series shocks incorporate cutting-edge technology and premium materials to ensure superior ride quality and durability:
- One-piece digressive piston design with vehicle-specific valving for precise damping and ride control
- ICON’s patented internal “Bump Zone” increases damping force by 20% near full compression to prevent harsh bottom-outs
- Externally adjustable CDC Valve offers 10 levels of compression damping for customizable tuning
- Remote reservoir design enhances heat dissipation, reducing shock fade during extended off-road use
- Constructed from 6061 billet aluminum manifold and CNC-machined aircraft-grade aluminum components
- 7/8” diameter induction hardened, chrome-plated shock shaft for strength and corrosion resistance
- PTFE-lined spherical bearings and application-specific mounting hardware for smooth articulation and easy installation
- Nitrogen-charged monotube design filled with premium 5WT shock oil for consistent damping across temperature ranges
- 100% rebuildable and revalveable for long-term serviceability and performance customization
Construction & Design:
Built with durability and precision in mind, the ICON 2.5 Series shocks utilize aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum and CNC machining to deliver lightweight yet robust components. The one-piece impact-extruded aluminum cylinders provide excellent corrosion resistance and a consistent finish, ensuring longevity in harsh environments. The remote reservoir, connected via a billet aluminum manifold, improves heat management and shock performance during aggressive driving.
The shock shaft is induction hardened and chrome plated to resist wear and corrosion, while PTFE-lined spherical bearings reduce friction and improve articulation. This meticulous engineering results in a shock absorber that maintains consistent damping and ride quality over time, even under demanding off-road conditions.
Installation & Fitment:
These front shocks are designed as a direct fit for Jeep Wrangler JK models from 2007 to 2018, including Rubicon, Sahara, Sport, Sport S, Unlimited, and special anniversary editions. Installation requires no major modifications, utilizing application-specific mounting hardware for a straightforward bolt-on upgrade. The shocks accommodate a 4.5-inch lift, making them ideal for lifted Jeep Wranglers seeking enhanced suspension performance.
What's Included:
- Pair of ICON 2.5 Series 4.5in Front Shocks with remote reservoirs
- Application-specific mounting hardware
- PTFE-lined spherical bearings installed
- Adjustment knobs for CDC Valve compression tuning

What does the Available to Promise date mean?
ETA stands for Estimated Time of Arrival. The date shown is calculated using our Available-to-Promise (ATP) system, which tracks real-time supplier commitments to determine when a product is expected to be available for delivery. Specifically, the date is calculated by adding 9 business days from the date a supplier has committed to ship the product, representing a worst-case scenario for when we can expect to receive inventory.
Please note: The ETA is an estimate, not a guarantee. While we work closely with our suppliers to keep dates as accurate as possible, delays due to shipping carriers, weather, customs, or supplier-side issues may occasionally push the actual arrival beyond the date shown. Likewise, inventory may arrive sooner than the ETA in many cases. If you would like to be notified for when this item arrives, sign up for our back in stock notifications!
