RD197

Overview:

The ARB Airlocker Differential is the ultimate traction solution designed to keep your Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 models moving confidently through the toughest terrain. This pneumatically operated locking differential provides instant, on-demand 100% traction at the flick of a switch, allowing you to tackle mud, rocks, snow, and uneven surfaces with ease. Ideal for off-road enthusiasts and professionals alike, the Airlocker enhances vehicle control and safety by locking both axle shafts together, preventing wheel slip and maximizing grip.

When disengaged, the Airlocker functions as a conventional open differential, ensuring smooth on-road drivability without added wear on the driveline. Its robust design supports activation at any speed, giving you the flexibility to engage traction precisely when needed without compromising performance.

Key Features:

Engineered for reliability and ease of use, the ARB Airlocker Differential offers a range of advanced features that set it apart:

• Instant pneumatic locking system for 100% traction on demand
• Activation possible at any vehicle speed for versatile off-road performance
• Steel reinforced, elastomer bonded annular seal designed to withstand extreme temperatures
• Minimal moving parts for enhanced durability and reliability
• Patented timed locking mechanism ensures high strength and ultra-fast unlocking
• Includes activation switch, solenoid valve, air line, and bulkhead fitting for complete installation
• Operates like an open differential when unlocked, preserving driveline longevity
• Compatible with AAM 925/950 axle assemblies and 33-spline shafts
• Designed specifically for Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 models from 2003 to 2019

Construction & Design:

The ARB Airlocker is built with premium materials and precision engineering to ensure long-lasting performance in the harshest environments. Its two-piece design minimizes moving parts, reducing the risk of mechanical failure and simplifying maintenance. The steel reinforced annular seal is bonded with elastomer to provide exceptional resistance against dirt, water, and extreme temperature fluctuations, making it suitable for all climates and terrains.

The internal locking mechanism is pneumatically actuated, allowing for smooth and reliable engagement controlled from the driver’s seat. This design not only improves traction but also enhances vehicle safety by enabling controlled, stable driving in challenging conditions.

Installation & Fitment:

The ARB Airlocker Differential is a direct fit for Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 models from 2003 through 2019, compatible with factory axle assemblies featuring 33-spline shafts. Installation requires an air compressor system (sold separately) to operate the pneumatic locking mechanism. The kit includes all necessary components for activation, including the switch, solenoid valve, air line, and bulkhead fitting, ensuring a straightforward installation process for experienced technicians or off-road enthusiasts with mechanical knowledge.

No major modifications to the axle housing are typically required, preserving the integrity of your vehicle’s drivetrain while significantly enhancing its off-road capability.
