Overview:

The Manley Performance Platinum Series Extreme Pistons are precision-engineered forged pistons designed specifically for the Chrysler 6.1L HEMI engine with a stock stroke and a 4.080-inch bore. This set of eight pistons features a 1.220-inch compression dome and a +5cc dome volume, optimized for high-performance builds requiring durability and reliability under demanding conditions.

Ideal for professional engine builders, tuners, and serious enthusiasts, these pistons offer a robust upgrade over factory components. Whether you’re building a street performance engine or a race-ready powerplant, Manley’s Platinum Series pistons deliver the strength and precision needed to support increased horsepower and torque while maintaining excellent durability.

Key Features:

Manley’s Platinum Series pistons incorporate advanced materials and design features to ensure superior performance and longevity:

• Constructed from 2618 aluminum alloy forgings, providing exceptional strength and fatigue resistance for high-stress applications.
• Proven cam and barrel skirt profiles reduce friction and wear, enhancing piston stability and efficiency.
• Equipped with tool steel wrist pins for maximum durability and precise fitment.
• Moly skirt coatings on select part numbers reduce friction and improve wear characteristics for smoother operation.
• Designed with a 5cc dome volume to optimize combustion chamber shape and compression ratio for performance tuning.
• Manufactured to exacting tolerances to ensure consistent fit and reliable performance in high-output engines.
• Compatible with stock stroke configurations, making them a direct replacement for Chrysler 6.1L HEMI builds.
• Engineered to withstand the rigors of both street and track use, supporting enhanced power levels without compromising reliability.

Construction & Design:

These pistons are forged from premium 2618 aluminum alloy, known for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to thermal fatigue. The forging process ensures a dense, uniform grain structure that enhances durability under extreme combustion pressures.

The cam and barrel skirt profiles have been refined through extensive testing to minimize piston slap and reduce friction, contributing to improved engine efficiency and longevity. The inclusion of moly skirt coatings on select pistons further reduces wear and helps maintain smooth piston movement within the cylinder bore.

Tool steel wrist pins provide a robust connection between the piston and connecting rod, capable of handling high RPM and load conditions typical of performance engines. The 5cc dome design helps optimize combustion dynamics, supporting tuning flexibility and power gains.

Installation & Fitment:

This piston set is designed as a direct fit for Chrysler 6.1L HEMI engines with a stock stroke and 4.080-inch bore. They are intended to replace factory pistons without requiring modifications to the block or other components.

Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper clearances and ring end gaps are maintained. These pistons are compatible with existing engine components designed for the 6.1L HEMI platform.
