Construction & Design

Yukon Gear & Axle utilizes premium-grade alloy steel combined with advanced heat treatment processes to produce ring and pinion gears that withstand extreme torque and stress. The gears undergo precision machining and finishing to ensure perfect tooth contact patterns, reducing noise and vibration while maximizing power transfer efficiency.

The robust construction is designed to endure the harsh conditions of daily driving, towing, and off-road use. Yukon’s commitment to quality is evident in every component, ensuring that your drivetrain upgrade maintains reliability and performance over the long term.

Installation & Fitment

This ring and pinion gear set is a direct fit for the specified Ram 1500 models and engines, requiring no modifications to the axle housing or differential components. Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper gear mesh and backlash settings, which are critical for optimal performance and longevity.

Installation typically involves removing the existing ring and pinion gears, cleaning the housing, and carefully setting up the new gears with the correct torque specifications and shimming. Proper installation will result in improved vehicle acceleration, better towing capability, and enhanced overall drivability.
