Construction & Design

The axle is meticulously crafted from 4340 chromoly steel, a high-grade alloy known for its exceptional tensile strength and toughness. This material choice ensures the axle can endure the stresses of off-road driving and high torque loads without failure. The cold roll forming process used on the splines enhances their structural integrity by aligning the grain flow and reducing stress concentrations, resulting in a more durable spline interface.

Additionally, the axle undergoes advanced induction coil heat treating, a process that hardens the surface while maintaining a tough core. This treatment improves wear resistance and extends the axle’s service life, even under extreme conditions. The 32 spline count and precise 32.2-inch length guarantee a perfect fit for the left rear position on compatible Jeep models, maintaining factory geometry and drivetrain balance.

Installation & Fitment

This Yukon Gear & Axle Chromoly Left Rear Axle is designed for direct bolt-in installation on 2018–2023 Jeep Gladiator and Wrangler models with the specified engine options. No major modifications are required, making it a straightforward upgrade for experienced mechanics and off-road enthusiasts alike. Proper installation ensures optimal drivetrain performance and reliability.

It is recommended to verify compatibility with your specific vehicle configuration before installation. Professional installation is advised to ensure correct torque specifications and alignment.
