Construction & Design

The Yukon Gear Chromoly Inner Axle is crafted from premium 4340 chromoly steel, known for its exceptional tensile strength and toughness. This alloy is a favorite in high-performance automotive components due to its ability to resist bending and twisting forces under extreme loads. The axle’s splines are cold roll formed, a process that enhances the metal’s grain structure and increases fatigue resistance, resulting in a more durable spline interface.

Additionally, the axle undergoes an advanced induction coil heat treatment, which hardens the surface while maintaining a tough core. This treatment improves wear resistance and extends the service life of the axle, even under severe off-road conditions. The precise engineering and quality control ensure that each axle meets stringent standards for fit, finish, and performance.

Installation & Fitment

This inner axle is a direct fit replacement for the 2018 and 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL models equipped with the 3.6L V6 or 2.0L Turbo engines. Installation requires no modifications to the axle housing or drivetrain components, allowing for a straightforward swap using standard tools. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified technician or experienced enthusiast familiar with axle disassembly and reassembly procedures.

Proper installation ensures optimal drivetrain performance and longevity, maintaining the vehicle’s factory handling characteristics and reliability.
