What to Know Before You Buy
Trim Fitment Varies
Only three coilover options exist for the 2015-2023 Challenger. BC Racing DS fits Scat Pack, Hellcat, and Demon only. H&R and KW V2 fit V6, R/T, and 6.4L models. If you have a V6 or R/T, your choices are H&R or KW.
EDC / Electronic Damping
Scat Pack and above use factory Bilstein electronic adaptive dampers. The KW V2 RWD is designed for EDC-equipped models and requires EDC deactivation. H&R and BC Racing replace the factory dampers entirely.
Installation & Alignment
Full coilover installation replaces struts and springs. Professional install is recommended. Budget for a four-wheel alignment after installation to preserve tire wear and handling.
Coilovers vs. Lowering Springs
Coilovers offer adjustable height and often damping. If you prefer a fixed drop at lower cost, see our lowering springs guide for the Challenger.

Our Picks
Scat Pack or Hellcat? The BC Racing DS is the only coilover engineered specifically for these trims. It offers the widest drop range (-1" to -3") and 30-click damping adjustment at the lowest price.
V6 or R/T? Choose H&R for the best value and broad trim coverage, or KW V2 if you want rebound damping adjustment and premium German construction. KW requires EDC deactivation on Scat Pack and above.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to replace my factory shocks when installing coilovers?
No. Coilovers replace both the spring and the shock as a single unit. You remove the factory strut assembly and install the coilover in its place. No separate shock replacement is needed.
Will coilovers void my factory warranty?
Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a dealer cannot void your entire warranty for installing aftermarket parts. However, claims related to suspension components may be denied. Coilovers typically don't cause warranty issues elsewhere on the vehicle.
How does adjustable damping work?
KW V2 offers 16-click rebound adjustment — you dial in how quickly the shock extends after compression. BC Racing DS offers 30-click simultaneous compression and rebound. More clicks = finer tuning. Fixed-damping coilovers (like H&R) are pre-valved for street use.
Should I get coilovers or lowering springs?
Coilovers give you adjustable height and often damping, ideal for dialing in stance or track use. Lowering springs offer a fixed drop at lower cost ($200–$600). For the Challenger, we have a full lowering springs comparison if you prefer that route.
I have a Scat Pack. Which coilover should I get?
All three options fit. BC Racing DS is the only one designed specifically for Scat Pack/Hellcat spring rates and is the most affordable. H&R offers broad trim coverage and street comfort. KW V2 adds rebound damping adjustment and premium construction but requires EDC deactivation.
